Meet our team

Hugh is the owner / operator of Howat Auto Services and has been working as a mechanic for nearly 40 years. Hugh started his Automotive Engineer apprenticeship in November 1977, and worked for Graeme Paul Motors at Clarksville Junction until 1993. Hugh then travelled to Clydevale to work for W & J Dunlop in their workshop. In late 1993, Hugh and Clare decided to look around and purchase a business of their own, and in March 1994, they purchased an existing automotive repair business in Milton. Hugh had built a relationship wtih the Caltex reps whilst working at Clydevale, and it is that relationship that led to the move to the existing site and taking over the lease of Caltex Milton in May 1997.

Hayden is a qualified Automotive Engineer. He started work at Caltex in January 2005, pumping gas after school. Soon after, Hayden then completed a pre-apprenticeship course at Polytech and we then employed him as an apprentice at Howat Auto.

Cody is in his first year of his Automotive Apprenticeship. Throughout his high school years, Cody worked at Howat Auto through the Gateway work experience scheme which schools offer.

Clare is the owner / operator of Caltex Milton along with her husband Hugh who runs Howat Auto Services at the rear of Caltex. Clare had been working for Wilsons Transport for a number of years prior to taking over the lease of Caltex Milton in May 1997.

Lucky joined us in January 2014.

Jayne joined the Caltex Milton team in October 2010.

Sharon has been a member of the Caltex team since January 2011.

Paula joined us in January 2012.

Ashleigh has been part of the Caltex Milton team since June 2013. Ashleigh enjoys meeting new people, socialising and is always up for a laugh.

As the newest member of our team, Lorraine joined us in August 2016.  Lorraine enjoys meeting people, and is a keen gardner and loves reading books, especially Lee Child novels.
